 Geoscientific Database and Seamless themes include:
- Newly designed detailed borehole and geochemistry databases in both Microsoft Access format and generic ASCII tables
- Detailed Earth Resources, mine production and reference databases in both Microsoft Access format and generic ASCII tables
- Registered geophysical images (magnetics, radiometrics, digital terrain, gravity)
- Seamless 1:50 000 geology of the Melbourne, Bendigo structural zones and western Victorian zones
- Seamless 1:250 000 geology polygon data of the Melbourne, Bendigo structural zones and western Victorian zones
- GoogleEarth overlays, in KML format, of the seamless 1:250 000 polygons and the new Faults and Contacts data linework
- Tenement summaries, updated to July 12, 2010
The seamless data themes are provided in both ArcView/ArcGIS and MapInfo formats. The ESRI format data can also be viewed using the free ESRI product, ArcExplorer if you don't have access to a GIS software package.
The seamless geology data is provided as an ArcMap personal geodatabase /.mxd project, with ArcView shapefiles and MapInfo TAB files included.
Please note: This release contains only the GeoScience Victoria databases, images, seamless data and tenements. The GeoScience Victoria GIS data is available on separate associated ESRI and MapInfo format discs.
